Traveling to Pearl River

December 21-28, 2017

We traveled to Pearl River on December 21 and were pleased that all three girls were home. Ashleigh was home from Tulane and Jordan from Loyola.

Ashleigh and Elyse are crafting a gingerbread house.

Jordan is decorating the figures for a wedding party with cones of icing she has crafted out of aluminum foil.

We went over to the Moyle's to help with Christmas preparation. Elyse with Josiah, Lindsey and Jordan.

Elyse and Jordan cut up dates and figs to prepare for date-nut bars.

Brenda and Elyse prepare the bars for baking.

There was time for visiting as well as preparation. Josiah, Caleb and Elyse spend some time together.

Returning to Jeff and Darla's, we find that the gingerbread chapel has been finished, and Elyse and Ashleigh pose with it.

On Sunday, December 24 we went to the morning worship service at Northshore Church, which is always amazing for its vitality and for the number of children and young people there.

They brought the children in to sing for the morning service, and there was an amazing number of them. But they said that there were even more in the early service.

On Sunday evening we and Darla took Judy to the Christmas Eve service at Peace Lutheran Church. We then took Judy home and gathered with Jeff and Darla and family for supper and a time of visiting together.
