Alumni Gathering, Georgia Baptist College of Nursing

We drove to the Mercer campus and joined the Alumni meeting. Susan Gunby gave a historical presentation "Through the halls of Georgia Baptist".

The joy of meeting reminds us of last year's gathering.

It is always a good time of fellowship for Brenda. She enjoys getting together with Edie Fox.

We moved into the dining area for lunch and award presentations.

We always like to get together with Debbie Miller and we could relate our recent visit with Mary and John Keefe in Charlotte.

Brenda had a good time visiting with Gwen Thomas, who graduated from GBH in 1969, seven years after Brenda. Gwen worked at Atlanta Medical Center and Brenda had the occasion to work with her on different items over several years.

We were touched by the fact that in sharing with Brenda, Gwen told her that over the years when she thought of the description "good", Brenda would pop into her mind!

In this active conversation are Kathy Sitton, Gwen Thomas and Peggy Cooper, who cover some different eras of her nursing career. It is good to get together with colleagues and friends.

A very unique event in this year's gathering was the collection of birthday cards for Marilyn Gray's 101-year-old Mother who was also a nurse! Marilyn was going to take the cards to the birthday celebration!

I just noticed that Marilyn graduated the same year as Gwen above.
