We had our Independence Day gathering a bit early at Denise and Roger's new house in Powder Springs.

Right of group. Stacy and Darnell Kelly, Sherry Dawson, Roger Boykin, Matthew Thompson, Denise Vaughn, Brittany, Wesley Duncan, Jarred

We decided to do generation pictures and started with Brenda's generation. Brenda, Denise, Dorothy, Sherry, Marie, Wesley.

Mark's generation plus Matthew. Shelly, Stacy, Darnell, Mark with young Matthew of the next generation in back.

Dorothy with granddaugher Christie, great-grandson Cory center and great-grand nephew Jerrod Boatwright on the right.

Our last grouping was the inlaws. Pat Ergle, Roger Boykin, Darnell Kelly, Brittany, Rod Nave

Roger did an outstanding job at the grill with hamburgers and hotdogs, and Denise had everything decorated in patriotic colors.

Thanks to the efforts of the ladies, we had an abundance of food. Plenty to share with the two guys who were doing masonry work in the edge of the cemetary next door.

Lynne and Pat came later in the afternoon and brought Uncle Albert. He was the one we needed to honor on this occasion for his World War II service.

The shady back yard was a pleasant place for a gathering, so we sat around and talked there. Wayne and Melinda Huckeba and their daughter also joined us. Thanks to Denise and Roger for a great family gathering.
