Jeff Nominated as "Reserve Officer of the Year"

 | Jeff was at one of the regular monthly meetings of Reserve Police Officers, and was surprised by being called up to the front with an unexpected announcement. |
Police Chief Daniel was very gracious and they had a good public conversation. The chief complimented Jeff for hard work with some of the parades, and Jeff got to quip that he was coming up on a double knee replacement.
These monthly meetings of the reserve police officers are very casual, and Jeff had dressed casually. Note that the Chief addressed Jeff as Officer Nave, knowing that as Chaplain he was not required to be a commissioned police officer, but Jeff had put forth the effort to become one, and that was respected in his role as Chaplain. I would guess that not many PhD Seminary professors are licensed police officers.
