Carl Nave made the move from Owensboro, Kentucky to Newport, Arkansas

Susie Owsley's diary says that Edgar cut his foot really bad in May. He expands on the tale: "Cut my foot in the instep on piece of broken glass, they put my foot in ice water but it didn't help, blood just kept squirting out. A man (I don't know who) came by, asked them for some flour and put it on my foot and wrapped it up tight. Uncle Herbert made me a crutch that I used until my foot healed."
