The beginning of the move to Arkansas

1932

Carl Nave made the move to Newport, Arkansas in April of 1932.

This photo of Orvetta, Edgar and Gertrude is labeled 1932. We have record of Edgar going to Arkansas to spend the summer with his father in 1933, but that was in hot weather, and this picture was obviously taken in cold weather. It may be that they were going to Arkansas to visit Carl Nave.

Uncle Leland and Aunt Pearl Bunch (Carl's sister) had probably made the move to Arkansas in 1927 when Leland became County Agent for Jackson County, Arkansas.
