Camp Bluebird

Brenda went again to Camp Bluebird at Toccoa this fall to participate in the program of memorials for those who had died, including Bonnie. She had gone up last year, the year after Bonnie's death, with Andy for the memorial along with some others from his church congregation. Brenda had gone with Bonnie in 1992 and 1993. Brenda had appreciated the ministry of this light-hearted and encouraging camp for cancer victims and could identify from her own experience plus that of Bonnie.

Brenda and Anne Newton love to get together and go to the Varsity. Anne is in line for food.

Old friends together at the downtown Atlanta Varsity. A long-standing tradition for these two. In the background is the Olympic Village complex that was constructed for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta and now serve as dormitories for Georgia Tech and Georgia State University.

Johnny and Annie Harris came to town with their Uncle Merc and Aunt Sun, so we got together with them at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Sundial Room on the 72nd floor to have lunch and give the family a high altitude view of Atlanta. October 18.

We gathered in our dining room for breakfast the next morning.

Annie and Rod at breakfast in probably the last time we used this dining room as it stood. Later that day we started the process of tearing out the kitchen and end wall of this dining room to enlarge it into what was the kitchen area.

The "tear out the kitchen" party.
