Family Birthday Celebration

August 20, 2022

The planning of a big family birthday celebration was one of the things that prompted our trip to Louisiana at this time. As usual, Jeff and Leslie Moyle provided their house and hospitality and a big portion of the food. It is always a happy time when all these cousins get together - nine grandchildren for Judy, three of whom are also ours.

Immediately upon arrival of this group of young people there was boisterous laughter and the unmistakeable sounds of celebration. L-R are Corinne, fiance of Jonathan, Jessica Ringo, Jordan Nave, Bethany Moyle, Leslie Moyle, Myles boyfriend of Bethany, Debbie Ringo.

For this group, who have known each other since birth, to have such joy in meeting is indeed a beautiful thing.

We started with generous snacks at the bar. L-R Jeff Nave, Jeff Moyle, Judy Moyle, Ashleigh Nave, Brenda Nave, Corinne.

The active conversations continue as they take in the snacks. L-R Ashleigh Nave, Jeff Nave, Jessica Ringo, Jordan Nave, Caleb Wells, Jonathan Ringo.

Judy Moyle and Leslie Moyle settle on the couch. Ashleigh Nave, Jordan Nave, Jessica Ringo and Caleb Wells continue both eating and talking at the bar.

Transitioning to the Birthday Celebration

We transitioned to the den and gathered the six who had birthdates close enough together to be included in this group celebration. Those celebrated are Jonathan Ringo, Jessica Ringo, Jordan Nave, Bethany Moyle, Josiah Wells and Caleb Wells. At extreme left are Ashleigh Nave and Robby Wells, and at right is Brenda Nave. At this point the celebrants were opening their cards.

This is most of the gallery that stood by to watch and comment. Darla and Jeff Nave standing, Myles, Debbie Ringo, Corinne, Diane Wells, Judy Moyle.

While they are still laughing at the cards, Ashleigh starts the process of handing out gifts.

Jordan, Bethany, Josiah and Caleb are still clowning around about the cards. Hmm! I'll have to look at those.

All the other family members gathered to watch had a good time with the process too.

We all enjoyed the time of opening of gifts.

Finally we had the time of the bringing out of the cakes! After they were celebrated by lighting, they quickly disappeared. No more pictures so that I can bring testimony that the cakes were delicious!

We have to praise the Lord for the blessing of family, and rejoice in the times of gathering together for family celebrations like this.
