We had a RA Overnight to Bent Tree on January 11-12.

January brings us some uncommon snow on January 16 and 19.

A birthday celebration for Uncle Albert was held on February 2.

Jeff and family came for a visit on February 2.

We had our RA Breakfast and trial RA Racer Derby on Saturday February 9. The real RA Racer Derby was on Wednesday, February 13.

We made an overnight trip to Bent Tree on March 14, and that night a tornado struck downtown Atlanta.

Easter in Pearl River. Soon afterward was Jordan's baptism and Tom's homecoming from Iraq.

On April 12, Rod went with 29 Hispanic youth and chaperones to Bent Tree.

We had an RA Overnight trip the Bent Tree on April 18-19.

April brings a Fun-Fest on the NOBTS campus.

Celebration of Mother's Day.

Jeff and family came in late on May 17. Sherry had us all for Sunday dinner on May 18. Then we went to Bent Tree for Sunday and Monday night.

We joined Anne Newton and her group from Cartersville First Baptist on a trip to Nashville for the Memorial Day gospel celebration, May 24-25.

Early June brought another RA trip to Bent Tree along with a prayer retreat by the women of the Hispanic congregation.

On the weekend of June 22, we welcomed our new pastor, Stephen Byrd, and his family to Mableton First Baptist.

Rod taught the Conceptual Physics course again this summer.

On July 21 we headed out for Edmonton, Alberta for Rod's AAPT meeting and exploration. After Rod's session on Tuesday, July 22 , we spent the time exploring. We went Elk Island National Park east of Edmonton and then came back to the city and explored around the North Saskatchewan River. The next day we headed out to Jasper National Park, following the Athabasca River part of the way. On July 25 we rode the cable car to the top of Whistlers Mountain and then took a drive to Maligne Gorge, Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake. We took a boat trip on Maligne Lake down to the area of Spirit Island. On July 26 we went to the Columbia Icefield and the Athabasca Glacier on the return trip stopped by Sunwapta Falls and Athabasca Falls. On July 27 we visited Lake Patricia and made a rail trip to the Mt. Robson area. On our last day in the Jasper area we drove up the road to Mt. Edith Cavell, enjoying the trail on the way up and lots of wildflowers on the way down. and then visited the Miette Hot Springs in the afternoon. On July 29 we left Jasper and headed for Banff, particularly enjoying Waterfowl Lake. On July 30 we got up early and went to Lake Louise and Morraine Lake. Then we returned to the Bow Lake area for the afternoon.

Mark ships out a challenging steel table project to Turner Studios on August 25.

Darla and the girls, Dave and Judy, Robby and Diane with Caleb came up as hurricane evacuees and we had a nice visit with them all. September 2-6.

We attended the 4th Anniversary Celebration of the Hispanic Congregation that is now meeting at Glen Forest Baptist Church, October 5.

Other fall events included Brenda's GBH Alumni meeting, a social with the Ga Tech BSU Alumni at the Bush's, and a Sunday School class luncheon at our house.

We had a big Light the Night celebration at the church on October 31.

Our RA Fall Overnite at Bent Tree on November 14-15 had a record 34 participants.

Jeff and family arrived on November 22 for a Thanksgiving visit.

An extraordinary snow in Pearl River gave Jeff his Christmas picture for this year.

Mark makes a dropping rose for a "Beauty and the Beast" production.

We gathered a good many family members On December 20 for the Mt. Harmony piano concert in which Denise played.

On December 21 we headed for Pearl River and spent Christmas with Jeff's family and stayed around for Elyse's 4th birthday. We spent a couple of days at Destin, FL on the way back.
