Vacation Bible School "In the Wild"

June 9-13, 2019

Mike Davis leads the opening assembly for VBS and Jordan Nave joins him for the active songs that carry a clear gospel message. The assembly starts with pledges to the American flag, the Christian flag and the Bible and the VBS motto for this year "Zoom In, Focus on Jesus".

Many thanks for the registration and coordination by Barbara Floyd, Betsy Weaver and Becky Ridgway. And a great debt of gratitude to Becky Ridgway and Janet Vineyard for the planning and organization of this year's VBS.

Enthusiasm in the opening session was encouraged, and it was not quiet!

One of the favorite parts of the opening ceremony is the beachball barrage from the balcony, enthusiastically provided by the youth.

After the opening assembly, including the videos that carried the "In the Wild" theme, Grades 1-5 circulated to six stations: Music, Missions, Crafts, Bible Study, Recreation, and Snack time.

Providing friendly service to all the groups of children at snack time were Wayne Templeton, Patti Burkhardt, Mary Brumbelow, Barbara Porter, Jo Templeton, Winkie Durand and Waymon Story.

Many thanks to those who acted as our security team plus many other duties such as greeting and providing directions and help of various kinds. Philip Vineyard and Al Vineyard, William, and Brett Graham served throughout the Vacation Bible School. I didn't get a picture of Brett during the week but caught up with him with his daughter on Sunday during our Father's Day celebration.
