Thanks to Aubrey and Carol Bush for hosting our January gathering of the Tech BSU Alumni group on January 19.

Jordan and friend Kylea flew up on February 8 to take our Toyota Sienna back to Pearl River.

Winter activities

Jeff, Darla and Elyse came up to visit March 2-5 on their Mardi Gras break.

The Georgia Tech BSU Alumni group had a spring gathering at Hiawassee, April 11-13.

Spring activities

We had an Easter celebration for the community on April 20 at MFBC.

We traveled to the MasterSingers concert with Suzanne on April 25. We enjoyed the visit with the Lassiter family and the relaxing Arkansas countryside.

Mother's Day May 12

We had our Awana Celebration at MFBC on Wednesday, May 15.

We went the Bent Tree on May 16 for cleanup and repairs, and to meet with Real Estate representative.

Visit of wild turkey in back yard, a first in 50+ years, May 17.

We made the trip to Pearl River on May 22 and celebrated Elyse's graduation from Creekside Junior High School on May 23.

On Sunday, May 26, Jeff and Leslie Moyle hosted a major crawfish boil for the family and celebrated Jessica's and Jeff Nave's birthdays.

We had a fascinating cardinal family growing in Darla's hanging basket on the front porch.

A trip to Sweetwater Park was one of the many activities with Jordan, who drove up to spend some time with us.

Our Vacation Bible School In the Wild was held June 9-13.

The VBS involvement was near the beginning of our summer activities.

We visited Mark on the movie set where he is Construction Foreman on June 20.

Rod and Jordan went to Georgia State University on June 24-25 to film some physics demonstrations.

Jordan, Elyse and Rod made a trip to Sweetwater Park on June 30.

July events included a Bent Tree trip and a July 4 celebration.

Sue Varble Nave Cockrill went to be with the Lord on July 9.

Ashleigh visits the United Arab Emirates and Oman.

To Bent Tree for an overnight on July 23-24 for cleanup, attic repair, and plans for further fixup.

MFBC helped with the Mableton Elementary "Back to School Bash" at the school on July 26.

Nancy Bonds hosted our Georgia Tech BSU alumni group with a nice lunch and gathering on July 27.

We enjoyed a Sunday School class social at South Cobb Diner on July 28 and celebrated Rod's 80th birthday (which was July 21).

Reflecting on our continuing enjoyment of the birds in our yard, which Rod feeds faithfully.

We traveled to California for Wanda's Memorial Service, which was on September 21. We arrived on September 19 and visited with family there. On Thursday the 19th and on the 20th we visited family in Vacaville, including the family gathering at McCune Garden Chapel on Friday evening. On Saturday morning the 21st we had the graveside service at Monument Hill in Woodland, California. (It was right beside a vast tomato field which was being harvested.) After that service we had a family meal in Woodland, California. Before the Memorial Service, we had a supper prepared by the Trinity Baptist Church. On Sunday we attended church with Mary and Danielle, and then had a dinner with Danny Hobson and family at Becky's house.

On September 28 we attended Brenda's 60th Anniversary celebration for her South Cobb High 1959 Graduation.

We traveled to Charlotte on the weekend of October 10-13 for the National Conference on Christian Apologetics. We enjoyed visiting with John and Mary Keefe and Carol Richardson as well as many friends from RTB.

We enjoyed the Alumni gathering of the Georgia Baptist College of Nursing on October 18. It included a historical review "Through the halls of Georgia Baptist.." by Susan Gunby.

As we moved toward the sale of our Bent Tree house, we visited it on October 29 and again on November 5-6 to do final repairs and cleanup for the sale.

Fall activities

Jeff, Darla and Elyse made the trip from Pearl River Saturday, November 23. After church on Sunday, we enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship including Mark and Marty. On Tuesday we rejoiced in the arrival of Ashleigh and Jordan. Thursday morning was active with the dinner preparation. We enjoyed sitting down for Thanksgiving Dinner.

On December 23 we drove to Pearl River for our Christmas visit with the Louisiana family. Mark joined us and we shared Christmas morning with Jeff and family and then joined Christmas at the Moyles per our tradition. On December 26 we celebrated Elyse's birthday with a family dinner. On Friday, December 27, we and Judy Moyle traveled to Covington to watch the Pearl River High School soccer team play in a tournament. Elyse, Lindsey and friends play on the team and Darla is the coach.
