Vacation Bible School "Spark Studios"

June 5-9, 2022

Each night's session of VBS begins with a fun time of throwing down beach balls from the balcony for everyone to bat about. Then we have a bit of review involving a small number of students chosen by some key like the starting letter of their name or their birthday, etc. Then we recite the week's Bible verse and sing the theme song for VBS. Then the classes separate by school grade for individual sessions.

Pastor Doug Thompson led the opening and closing sessions in the sanctuary and involved a number of the boys and girls. This involved reviewing the Bible truths that were being studied.

Others got the opportunity to say from memory the focus Bible verse, Ephesians 2:10, for this Vacation Bible School.

Another trio of VBS students have the opportunity to answer Bible questions. We were proud of all of them.

Many thanks to the large staff that made the VBS possible. For the major work of Becky Ridgway for the overall organization and planning. Barbara Floyd and Betsy Weaver along with Nan Laflash welcomed the children in and kept the records. Jennifer Good led the music sessions with the individual groups.

Barbara Porter and Mary Brumbelow manage the Snack Shack to provide refreshments for the students to take outside to their recreation time. Tony Brumbelow was also working with the snacks.
