We spent the night with Sherry at Bent Tree for New Year's night with the Harris's and friends there for dinner and celebration. We came back home on New Year's day and then on January 3 we woke up to a 5" snow.

On January 19, Saturday night, we had the bimonthly gathering of the Georgia Tech BSU alumni group at our house.

We look forward to Mardi Gras time in New Orleans because it brings Jeff and Darla and the girls to see us for a February visit.

February 22 brings a full scale robin arrival. Leafing out didn't really happen in our back yard until the second week in April. With it came a new bird to our back yard.

Rod, Johnny Huffman and Ray Collier, Jr. took eight boys to the RA Camporee on April 19-20.

Brenda "kidnapped" Rod for a two-day trip to Callaway Gardens on May 9-10.

We traveled to New Orleans on May 17 for Jeff's graduation with his Doctorate in Counseling. While there, grandparents Rod and Brenda and Aunt Sherry took Ashleigh and Jordan to the Riverwalk and to the Children's Museum.

We drove north from Asheville on the Blueridge Parkway on our way to Washington, D.C. for Rod's meeting. After the meeting we had the privilege of visiting with Clayton and Ellen Teaque in Gaithersburg, MD and then Ronnie and Linda Jones in Rocky Mount, NC on the way back.

Rod went out with Cindi to where Mark was helping John Kennet construct a metal globe. June 21.

We spent a week at Pompano Beach with Jeff, Darla, Ashleigh and Jordan, August 2-9.

Family gatherings in September started with a Labor Day celebration of Robbie's birthday. Darla made pictures of Ashleigh and Jordan in late September.

Hurricane Lili gave us a visit with Jeff and Darla and the girls in early October.

GBH 100th Anniversary celebration October 11-13. It was the 40th Anniversary for the Class of 1962. On Sunday morning we had a special chapel service and a brunch following.

We had a wonderful weekend of fellowship on the weekend of November 16 with the arrival of the Lowes and Jones' to our house. We went to the Tech BSU alumni gathering at the Petty's and then went with our guests to the morning service at Oakhurst.

Jeff and Darla and the girls had Christmas portraits done while they were here for Thanksgiving.

We immensely enjoyed the visit of Jeff and family at Thanksgiving. We had an outing to the Center for Puppetry Arts early in the week, and then celebrated Thanksgiving with all the family we could collect.

First Baptist Mableton presented Christmas to the Cross, a walk-through story of the life of Jesus.

We made the trip to New Orleans and joined the Moyle family for Christmas day. Then we spent some time at Jeff and Darla's before making the drive to Montgomery, Alabama to visit with Mark and Cindi on the sets of the movie The Big Fish where they were working.
