Celebration of Ashleigh's 6th birthday with a party and friends. March 23.

We had a good family time on Sunday, April 4 before Jeff had to return to New Orleans. Then on the next week, Ashleigh and Jordan got to hide easter eggs again in New Orleans.

Rod enjoyed taking pictures of the children at Sunday School on Easter, April 11.

The Stargels and Hembree's organized a welcome get-together for a former Sunday School class on April 24.

Breakfast time is time to enjoy the birds that come to our bird feeders. April 30. We have enjoyed the emergence of new life this sping.

The Hammonds hosted the Tech BSU Alumni gathering on May 15.

We made the trip to New Orleans on May 28 and found Darla and the girls in the swimming pool. In the evening we went to the Greek Festival, a favorite event for Jeff and Darla.

On Saturday we rode the reopened Canal Street Streetcar from City Park to the river. Sunday morning brought Sunday School and church and the awards and recognition for Awana were done on Sunday night.

On June 5 we took the RAs to Bent Tree for swimming and fishing. One of the surprises of this trip was a close view of a pileated woodpecker.

Stephen, Marsha, Sarah and Joshua Hobson visited us June 30 - July 3 while Sarah competed in the Junior Olympics in Tae Kwon Do.

We (mainly Brenda) worked with Javier and Grace Lopez and the Spanish Vacation Bible School, Jul 5-9, to provide them with some pictures.

We invited the Spanish boys along on our July RA trip to Bent Tree, July 10.

On July 30 we left for Sacramento for Rod's Physics Teachers' meeting. Jeff and family joined us on August 4 and we drove to Merced. From there we staged to Sequoia National Park the next day. On August 7 we went to Yosemite Valley and on August 8 to the Tioga Pass, visiting Tenaya Lake and the Tuolumne Meadows. We relaxed in a park in Merced on our last day before heading back home.

Ashleigh and Jordan enjoyed a gymnastics party for Bethany's birthday in August.

Jeff came up for a professional meeting on September 8 and returned to New Orleans on Monday Sept 12. The next day he headed back with the family to evacuate from hurricane Ivan.

On October 2, Rod and Johnny Huffman took the RAs up Stone Mountain.

On October 16, we made a trip to Warm Springs, GA to visit Mark on the set of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt movie.

Jeff and Darla sent us school pictures of Ashleigh and Jordan.

Other October activities included attendance at a conference at Peachtree City FBC, an eclipse of the moon, and fun with Paquita, Mark's cat.

On November 6, we took the RA boys to Amicalola Falls in North Georgia.

We had the fall RA campout at Bent Tree on November 12-13.

We made the trip to Pearl River, LA this year for Thanksgiving celebration with Jeff and Darla and the girls.

On December 18 we again launched out for Pearl River to visit with Jeff and family. We also made a trip over to Destin, Florida for a couple of days. We returned for Christmas morning with Jeff and Darla and the girls and then we all spent Christmas day at the Moyle's.

Jeff and Darla took off for the hospital in the wee hours of December 26 for the birth of Elyse Nicole Nave.
